I can’t speak high enough about Hotel St. Sophia. It is a great location in Old Town, quiet at night, had an outstanding breakfast (included in the stay), and the front desk couldn’t have been more helpful. We had multiple questions before the trip and needed help with a couple of bookings and the staff was very responsive. Being jet lagged I showed up in the lobby very early (before the kitchen was open) multiple mornings and the staff was eager to take care of me with coffee, tea, water, etc. One morning I asked for an Ayran (local drink not normally drank in the morning by locals) and saw a member of the staff leave the hotel to see if he could find it. We stopped by the hotel in the middle of a tour and they were happy to provide us with extra bottled water (they actually provided us with extra bottled water every day). To make things even better, they didn’t charge us for the extra water, early coffees, etc. We had to meet our driver back to the airport at a location down the street and they took the time to walk us there. Watching the staff, they bent over backwards to help all guests. I highly recommend St Sophia for people who want to stay in Old Town Turkey.

This little hotel is such a hidden gem I am almost reluctant to actually review it as I want to be able to book it in the future. This tiny (26 rooms I think) is a remodeled old Ottoman mansion. It does have a tiny elevator and a fairly tight staircase (I hit my head once on the low ceiling) but has so much going for it. First off the staff was consistently excellent. Gave us a rundown of the area and we were off to our room. The room, we had booked a "deluxe balcony room" was small but serviceable and well appointed. The bathroom was well done in marble was behind a large frosted glass wall. The bed was comfortable. and the balcony with two chairs and a table was spectacular. We could look directly at the Hagia Sofia in all its glory. It is in easy walking distance of everything in Sultanament and there is even a tram station close by. In addition its prices were in line with just about everything else in the area. We will 100% book this hotel again

I had an amazing experience at Hotel Saint Sophia! The staff were incredibly helpful, caring, and attentive from start to finish. A special mention to the manager at the reception, who went above and beyond to ensure our airport taxi driver found the best route and helped us get our luggage out without any hassle. It was so impressive to see him leave his desk to make sure we were safe and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—close to historical landmarks, great shopping spots, restaurants, and cafes. I felt completely at home during my stay, so much so that I finally finished the novel I’d been working on for six years! The property is extremely clean and safe, which added to my comfor

An absolute gem set in the heart of the Old Town. Fabulous location with all the main sights on your doorstep. Yes it can be noisy but we had no issues sleeping even with the tram line running to the front and the early morning call to prayer. The hotel itself is well appointed and modern with a great indoor/outdoor area where you can enjoy a great Turkish breakfast. Staff are an absolute pleasure and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are friendly and so helpful. We stayed in the best room (44) with a huge balcony overlooking the street in front with views towards Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and Gulhane Park. A great place to experience the sounds and sights of this magical city. Highly recommended and difficult to beat for location and quality of its staff.

- Close to Hagia Sophia (literally behind the hotel) - close to the Blue Mosque - near the Tramvay Station : Mehmet - Love the Turkish breakfast spread which was individually placed on the table.. not a buffet.. we can eat all we want.. and I’ve been looking out for breakfast time daily so I could try everything on the menu - I love that it has a special celebration for my daughter’s birthday.. it was amazing seeing the joy in her face when they brought out the cake and sing for her.. This is my 2nd time here at Hotel Saint Sophia and I would definitely recommend this hotel to all. - The staffs are all super friendly from the moment you enter the hotel until the day you checked out. They were attentive to all our needs and always there to give a helping hand
